Jeff Gordon drove this special paint scheme, designed by Sam Bass, in the Winston All Star race at Lowes Motor Speedway in May of 2000. Jeff started in 11th position, but was involved in a crash, and finished 16th (8 laps down). Dale Earnhardt Jr won the race which netted him a cool $516,410, despite leading only 2 laps. Dale Jarrett finished 2nd, and Dale Earnhardt Sr, in the iconic Peter Max car, finished in 3rd. It was an eventful week for Hendrick Motorsports as DuPont announced it would renew its sponsorship of the #24 car later that week.
